(Make sure to play the game in fullscreen!)

A maker of worlds has created a garden to rest in for a while. However, he realized that he wants somebody to enjoy the garden with him. So, he made you.

This game reflects some of my thoughts about GameDev and my workload at the time that I made it. I had hoped to add more before the submission deadline, but I unfortunately couldn't do everything I wanted to, as I was just trying to have something to submit for the deadline, as this game was made for an assignment.

Maybe I'll come back to this game to polish it a bit more in the future. I think it deserves that.

I couldn't get it to work on either fullscreen in browser or on the downloaded app. The best I got was that the text split into screens on either side but completely trailed offscreen. Might just be my computer, honestly.

I would not have known you were rushed to finish this game because there's so much story already. It's a very relaxing playthrough, as the creator wished for it to be. I like using the sides of the screen for different types of dialogue and italics to represent the player's thoughts, great job!

I'm not sure if it was my computer/monitor but for me the text was overlapping so I couldn't really read what was happening.

It worked for me when I downloaded it.

After playing the game and reading the description, I can 100% relate to how you are feeling. Makes playing this game very reflective, nicely done!

This is really sweet. I love the dual-column interface you have here: the separation between what is actually happening and the player's internal processes. Presenting the dialogue options as "you are thinking about saying the following things" is really clever and puts me into the vibe of the game even more.

I like this narrative story. It feels like I was created by a game maker? And I can have conversation with the old man. Multiple choices and different replies.

There is a weird sort of melancholic bliss to this game. I feel like I understand it but I don’t. Maybe that’s the reason for it, for everyone to form their own opinion on the matter. Either way what a lovely game, I know you mentioned you want to expand it which I would love to see!

Agree that the game leaves the relationship to the creator open to interpretation. I like how dialogue and choices were in seperate columns, and to progress we had to essentially press e and let the creator person continue speaking and show/describe the world to us.

There is something so deeply personal and heartfelt about your writing. I like how the player isn't "punished" in a sense, whether you choose to speak or not. You will still find rest.  I like the very broad gap between the man's paragraphs and your paragraphs. The sense of distance can be interpreted differently depending on how you chose to interact with the man.

i agree with this. i love the gentleness-- it's very comforting and feels like home. i also liked the way the dialogue was set up, splitting yours from his. it's unique but makes a lot of sense!!

I really agree, it also makes me more focus on thinking about what the game wants to say, nice design choice !

This game felt tranquil and eerie at the same time. I was never sure if I could trust the creator and I think that the visual of the games aided that.

I love the dialogue options in the game! I chose to never say anything, so I wonder if the storyline differs depending on the options chosen.

I really like the concept of the game. Very peaceful and immersive dialogue, feels like you’re really in the garden with him. I wonder if this games depicting a version of the afterlife?

I think it's perhaps more of a reverse situation? The creator made the protagonist to experience a new world with them. At least, that's my interpretation.

I think that the game moves through the narrative to show the player all the responses the creator can have to your specific questions.

The game has a great and interesting tutorial by letting user read through the story and learn how to control the game. And I like how detailed the story portrays the character.
